Afterward, they go to a diner, and Mother and Josie have a private conversation. Paul and Klara talk about destroying the Cootings Machine, and Paul explains his concerns about Josie's replica. Josie tells Klara that Mother suggested quitting her job to care for Josie full-time, but Josie declined.
